The Hon Steve Bracks AC
Steve Bracks is the Chair of Cbus. Steve has had a lengthy career in public life and was Premier of Victoria from 1999 to 2007. As one of Victoria’s longest serving Premiers, he won successive elections with large majorities.
Following his resignation as Premier, Steve became adviser to the Timor-Leste Prime Minister. He also took on advisory roles with a number of leading Australian finance and service sector corporations.
Steve led the Federal Government’s review into the Australian Automotive Industry and is currently one of two of the Australian Government’s Automotive Envoys.
In 2010, he was bestowed with a Companion of the Order of Australia for services to the community and the Parliament of Victoria and in 2011 he was presented with the Timor-Leste Solidarity Medal.
